The only thing better than Christmas itself is the lead-up to it. Is it possible to hit all of the amazing, holiday-related events on Long Island this December? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth trying. What’s going down for the holidays this year? Here are some of the fun food- and drink-related events coming to Long Island.

An Ugly Sweater Party at Maxwell’s

Islip’s Maxwell’s will host their annual Ugly Sweater Party on Friday, December 20. Guests are invited to wear their ugliest sweater and eat, drink, and dance the night away. The DJ will be spinning from 9 p.m. on.

It’s a Miracle—No, Really

Miracle, the Christmas pop-up bar, has arrived at Rockville Centre’s Cork and Kerry, as well as at the Floral Park location. The bar is decked out in full Christmas regalia and you can sidle up and order a host of holiday-inspired cocktails, the most fun or which is definitely the SanTaRex, which comes in a bright green dinosaur mug.

Even Uglier, at The Post Office Café

The Post Office Café, in Babylon, will also host an ugly sweater party this December. On Thursday, December 19, you can join the ranks of the ugly. The event will feature live music, beer specials, and prizes for the ugliest of the ugly sweaters. So dust off that sparkly reindeer number and head on out.
