Imagine arriving home on a Friday to a box of farm fresh grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and artisanal raw milk cheeses. Sounds dreamy, right? I have a good news. Mecox Bay Dairy will now make your summer daydream a reality.

This July, the Bridgehampton favorite introduced Mecox Direct, a delivery service that brings their fresh from the farm products to doorstops from Southampton to Montauk.

“Our goal with Mecox Direct is to make our products more available to customers in the local area,” says Pete Ludlow of Mecox Bay Dairy. “Our hope is that people will take advantage of this service for farm fresh meats and cheeses delivered directly to their door.”

To take advantage of the service, simply head to the Mecox Bay Dairy website, shop for items you want in your box such as their Farmhouse Cheddar, eggs, maple breakfast sausage (I spy brunch); choose an upcoming Friday delivery date (you have to order by noon on Wednesday for delivery on the Friday of the current week); and wait for your box.

While you don’t have to be home for your delivery, you should refrigerate it as soon as possible. There’s a $10 delivery fee but no membership fee, or minimum order. You could order once or every week and each week your delivery is customizable. If you don’t see your favorite item as available through Mecox Direct you can give them a call and they’ll try to make it appear in your box.

Right now the service is only available through the end of August as those are their busiest months, but according to Ludlow if the service ends up being popular they’re prepared to continue delivering into the fall and could also expand the delivery area and product offerings
