In our sixth episode I invited guest Colin Ambrose and Laura Donnelly to join me. Colin spoke of his growth as a chef and restaurateur. Colin has been an advocate of the farm-to-table movement for over 20 years. He spoke to us about the various gardens he’s kept over the years next to Estia’s, and also gave us some insight on the celebs he’s served during his career.
Meanwhile, Laura impressed us while playing “food definition roulette” and gave us a spot-on definition of Clafoutis, which is a baked French dessert of fruit (traditionally black cherries) arranged in a buttered dish and covered with a thick flan-like batter. She also regaled us with stories.
Finally, Colin prepared a watermelon and local feta cheese salad, which blew us away!
foodTALK is the newest food show to come to the East End via LTV. foodTALK, which launched in May, is meant to educate, inform and excite viewers about local food, farms, restaurants and personalities of the East End of Long Island.
