Robots, cooking classes and eating fish at the aquarium, so what if it’s supposed to be a chilly weekend? They’re building robots in Greenport!
On Saturday, Little Creek Oysters in Greenport becomes Little Creek Playlabs for a day to build some remotely operated vehicles to explore the bay. The Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead is having its 7th Annual Fish and Sips wine tasting on Friday featuring more than 20 local wines.
Cooking classes continue at North Fork Table, where you can learn from Long Island’s best. This weekend’s class is called Holiday Birds, Hams and Roasts. It focuses on product identification, proper cooking times, temperatures and techniques, proportions and discussion on high versus low heat; it will also include demonstrations of butchering, tying and stuffing birds, curing tips and brining techniques.
Winemaker Sunday resumes at Noah’s on the 16th with a dinner paired with wines by Anthony Nappa. The menu looks great, and tasting dinners are always fun because everyone shares the same experience. Noah will discuss each dish and Anthony Nappa each wine. It’s sure to be a great time.
