Who doesn’t look forward to the weekend? Sometimes getting away is all you need to turn things right again. When you create a shared experience, whether with family or friends, it can often define the season when you later reminisce .
It’s already mid-October. Halloween and November are two weeks away. If you haven’t been out to the North Fork this season — or if you’ve been meaning to get back — October is a great time. The leaves are nearing peak color, the farms are brimming with produce and just about every business out here has something planned to help you enjoy your day. Enjoy a glass of wine by a fire-pit, taste a flight of beer and enjoy a mélange of tacos from a food truck, or enjoy dinner while learning about what you’re eating from the chef who prepared your food and the winemaker who made the wine.
If you can’t make it out this weekend, there are plenty of upcoming events. Restaurant Week is coming in two weeks, Sunday, November 2, to Sunday, November 9, with restaurants offering three-course fixed price menus for $27.95 per person. The weekend of November 8 and 9 is also the second annual Taste of The North Fork, where you’ll find events and specials as well as free shuttle buses and enhanced bus service from New York City and Orient for our visitors from Connecticut.
Continue to North-Forks for the full weekend schedule.
