The Chew, the ABC afternoon show about food featuring well known chefs and lifestyle gurus, was making its way around the South Fork yesterday filming for an upcoming episode. At the center of the tour was Jeff Negron, known to many on the East End as one of Slow Food East End’s master farmers.

For that gig, Negron works with schools helping the students to care for their edible school gardens. He also works with local restaurants, including Topping Rose House and Nick & Toni’s, to help them establish and maintain their garden’s whose produce ends up on their customers’ plates. The film crew started at Topping Rose, moved on to Quail Hill Farm and then ended up at Nick & Toni’s. We’ll let you know when it’s going to air.
