This summer Edible and feedfeed have been providing farm fresh veggies and produce to local cooks and bloggers and then watching what happens. The baton has now been passed from Jodi Moreno to Heather Cox of Eat Real Food NYC for this segment in our multi-part farm stand collaboration.
Heather’s mantra is to make the choice to eat fresh, organic, real food. Heather received an amazing box of ingredients donated from The Good Farm Delivery, a company that curates, collects, packages and delivers the best local food in the Hamptons to your doorstep. From her box, which included products from Open Minded Organics, Good Water Farms and Balsam Farms, Heather put together an amazing collection of dishes, big and small, including a tuna Nicoise salad, blistered shishito peppers, crudités with zucchini dip, grilled peaches with lime juice, nut crumble and a drizzle of coconut milk, a cabbage slaw with white balsamic vinegar and grapefruit, and fresh peaches and mint drizzled with olive oil and honey with local cheese over Carrisa’s Breads, and a tomato tart with caramelized onions, rosemary and goat cheese in a gluten-free homemade crust. Wow, Heather you’ve been busy! Thank you for participatin and opening up your kitchen to create these healthy and creative summer meals!
