DRINK: Take a Long, Happy Pull on a Jolification at Station

For Edible East End’s High Summer Issue, I took a trip to Station in East Quogue; the restaurant promises “Exceptional Food & Drink. No Ceremony.” No ceremony indeed, but jolifications abound. Not your grandmother’s cocktail, jolifications are smile-inducing thirst quenchers imagined by Station mixologist Chris Barry.

Expect one-of-a-kind ingredients laboriously crafted from scratch by Barry such as salted rosemary syrup, and freshly pressed red bell pepper juice and cantaloupe juice. Take a look at Barry’s exotic ingredient list for two of his signature jolifications and see if they might inspire your own DIY cocktail creations.
