New Chefs Announced for Great Chefs Dinner

Events like the Great Chef’s dinner to benefit Jeff’s Kitchen at the Hayground School have always been about the men and women who prepare the meal, including Joe Realmuto of Nick & Toni’s, and Christian Mir (right) of the Stone Creek Inn.

The 10th annual Great Chefs Dinner is just around the corner and tickets are still available. The list of celebrity chefs who have signed on to cook for the cause, which will raise money for the culinary and garden program as well as scholarships for students at Jeff’s Kitchen at the Hayground School, is nothing short of stellar. This year’s James Beard Award for best chef in New York City, April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig), will be cooking as well as Josh Capon (Lure Fishbar), Claudia Fleming (North Fork Table Inn), top chef Kerry Heffernan, Kyle Koenig (Topping Rose House), Marc Meyer (Cookshop, Five Points), Christian Mir (Stone Creek Inn), Alfred Portale (Gotham Bar and Grill) and Jason Weiner (Almond).

The dinner is Sunday August 3, at Jeff’s Kitchen at Hayground School in Bridgehampton. Cocktail reception starts at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m., tickets are $1,000. For more information check out Edible’s interview with the Great Chefs Dinner founder Toni Ross.
