Impromptu Farmers Market at Greenport Tourist Info Booth on Sat. May 17

North Fork Promotional Council staff in front of Southold Town Hall

Each year the opening of the tourist information booths run by the North Fork Promotional Council mark a change of season. We’re ready for you tourists! Come to the North Fork and check out our beaches, restaurants and wineries. There’s always been a small ceremony at the openings, at which NFPC debuts their guide for the season, but this year the celebration has taken on a new face. The info booth at 72250 Route 25 (Main Road) in Greenport will showcase some of our farmers, chefs, business owners and innkeepers. Stop by on Saturday to sample, schmooze and shop.

Holly Browder of Browder’s Birds put together a pop-up farmers market from noon to 3 p.m.,  and Noah Schwartz of Noah’s  has several chefs participating from 3 to 5 p.m. Meet your local business owners from  3 to 5p.m.; innkeepers will be there from noon to 5 p.m. The North Fork Food Truck will be there as well as the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company beer truck.  “Shop and sample lots of great food and drinks,” says Browder.
