Continuing its tradition of matching great wines with great food, the Riverhead Project will team up with Empire State Cellars to create a series of monthly dinners pairing a New York wine with family-style cuisine.
The dinners will be held on the first Tuesday of each month through the summer; the first was on May 5. Dinners will begin at 7 p.m. at a 14 person table and feature wines like North Fork Merlot, Finger Lakes riesling, cabernet franc, sparkling, spirits, blends and aromatic whites.
Founded in 2011, Empire State Cellars is home to more than 500 wines from around New York. A representative from Empire State Cellars will add to the dinner by not only pairing the wines, but educating diners on those featured.
