Newcomer Wainscott Main Wine & Spirits is looking to jazz up the off season with “The Industry Sessions” a series of tasting workshops on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. with guest winemakers and wine professionals to be announced. Topics will include Vintage from our Vantage: North Fork, Shop it Like a Sommelier; Finding Gems from the List $50-$500, Know Your Producer, Old World vs New World, a Varietal Comparison, West Coast Terrior: CA/OR/WA, Mixology 101: What Makes a Special(ty) Cocktail, What’s in the Bottle? Decoding French Wine Labels, What’s in the Bottle? Decoding Italian Wine Labels. Classes are $10 donation to offset speaker’s sample costs and travel.
