Harvest season is always a great time to visit the East End and take in our vineyards, farm stands and farmers markets. Many markets and stands will start to close next month, so get your vegetables now. Hampton Bays will be hosting its third annual San Gennaro festival this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Peconic Bay will be hosting the second annual Pour the Core cider festival on Saturday. Local hard cider producers Woodside Orchards, Wölffer Estate and Standard Cider Company will be there, as will local breweries Long Ireland and Blue Point. Food by Maple Tree BBQ. In addition to the events in our Oktoberfest post, the Southampton Public House’s Oktoberfest is tonight. First pint is free. Noah’s winemaker’s dinner is Sunday.

As always, check out the online calendar by the Long Island Wine Council to see who has live music and the Peconic Land Trust, for more.
