Montauk lobster stalwart, Duryea’s Lobster Deck, will have some competition this summer.
Red Hook Lobster Pound and Sweet‘tauk Lemonade are set to open at 34 South Etna Avenue, early this May.
The store, which will be open for lunch and dinner, will be the first brick and mortar location for Montauk-based Sweet‘tauk and
the second for Red Hook Lobster Pound, which has been open in Red Hook, Brooklyn, selling whole lobsters, lobster rolls and chowders
since 2009. Sweet’tauk makes artisanal lemonades using fresh ingredients and sweetened with raw agave nectar. Popular flavors include Oh my Meyer, watermelon-cucumber and rhubarb-vanilla. Sweet’tauk also makes ice pops, and the store will be scooping Sag Harbor’s Joe and Liza’s ice cream.
Customers will be able to east outside or order up full meals through their catering arm.
