Only four days left for the for the Kickstarter campaign to help the Edible School Garden Group publish their food book!
Edible has reported on the growing number of school gardens and greenhouses on the East End. About four years ago the garden organizers teamed up to form the Edible School Garden Group, which includes the Bridgehampton School, the Springs School, the Hampton Bays Middle School and the Hayground School. Truly a collaborative effort, the group has been supported by community members as well as Cornell Cooperative Extension and Slow Food. Now the group wants to publish a “Food Book” not exactly a cookbook nor a how to, but a book that will help children and their parents learn and live a healthy nutritious diet that will take them away from fast food. The group hopes to raise $15,000 by Friday, Nov. 30 on Kickstarter and have a bound book and an e-book by next fall.
