Anthony Nappa (whose Anomaly we featured in our Low Summer issue) of Winemaker Studio in Peconic reports the tasting room is doing a series the next three Saturdays featuring the wine of some of their vendors. On Saturday there will be a vertical of Merliance, a blend of merlot made by the Long Island Merlot Alliance’s producers of merlot and merlot-based blends. Expect tastes of the 2006, 2007 and 2008. On July 20 through 23 Adam Suprenant, winemaker at Osprey’s Dominion, will be pouring his own label, Coffee Pot Cellars. The last weekend of the month Roman Roth, winemaker at Wölffer, will be pouring a vertical of the 2003 through 2006 vintages of his label the Grapes of Roth.
