It’s not too late to add some luxury to your New Year’s Eve: the Paumanok 2010 Semi-Dry Riesling. But don’t take our word for it. The wine was chosen for the Wall Street Journal’s wine club as one of its “luxury dozen”.
From the WSJ site:
The Objective: To find the 12 top wines in America. A panel of judges – chaired by best-selling wine writer Hugh Johnson – tasted more than 800 wines blind (to ensure impartiality). The judges chose two incredible cases – the Annual Dozen featured the 12 best buys. But, the best of the best were brought together in one special collection: The 2011 WSJwine Luxury Dozen. …
Four world-class whites: “striking” 92 Parker-Point Viognier, “fascinating,” “ethereal” New York Riesling and two seriously opulent Chardonnays — “complex, lively and very good” from Carneros vs “powerful and long” from Arroyo Grande.
East Enders don’t have to order the wine; they can stop by the winery.
