It’s Italy, once a week, on Love Lane

Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck is continuing its tradition of fixed price menus on Tuesday nights.

It started with sushi, but this year owner Mike Avella with his new chef, John Nordin, who will be running the Love Lane Market next store  (projected opening date July 4 weekend), it’s Italian. This Tuesday menu featured food typical of the city of Campobasso in the Molise region. It was delicious.

The fixed price had four courses and cost $50 per person.

Insalata di Alici e Aranci Marinated anchovies with oranges and shaved fennel.

Linguini all’Ortica homemade pasta with nettle and walnut pesto

Granci Teneri con Nepitella local soft shell crabs with garlic, red pepper and nepitella herb

Chiacchiere e Sanguinacccio sweet dough fritters with bittersweet chocolate pudding
