A few of our favorite wineries are featured in the September issue of Wine Enthusiast magazine. The article’s emphasis is on the number of varieties planted in our region. Which is a good thing. Variable weather, like we have (it’s hot and dry, it’s rainy and damp) means it’s not a good idea to put all of your grapes in one basket. Each variety reacts differently to weather conditions and many ripen at different stages of harvest. Click on the image above to read about the wines, from sparkling to cab franc, to a sauvignon blanc blend, a rosé of pinot noir and a dessert wine. Congrats to all.
