Hampton Bays Chamber Chili/Chowder Contest Draws 600 People

In its 14th year the Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce Chili/Chowder Contest once again filled the Boardy Barn with a lot of people for its annual scholarship fundraiser. Unique to Hampton Bays, almost anyone can enter. The Steamfitter’s Local 638 was serving its meaty chili, Tom “Catfish” Bisagni enters his chili just because its fun and the high school had its own table. One the chowder front, the styles ran the gamut from the Caribbean seafood chowder from the Driver’s Seat restaurant in Southampton to Villa Paul‘s corn-based New England clam chowder.
