Brunch and Screening of Souls of New York to Benefit the Greenport Farmers Market Kids Club

Don’t miss a very special event this summer that will support the GFM Kids Club Program.  Join market friends, members and vendors for brunch at Cuvée Bistro at the Greenporter, 326 Front Street in Greenport and a screening of Souls of New York (the North Fork Episodes) just down the street at the Greenport Theater. The even will be on Sunday, July 22, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for the brunch and the screening; $20 for market members (become one). Tickets will also be available at the market manager’s booth, but must be purchased on or before July 14.

The Souls of New York, directed by Brent Sterling Nemetz, (an Edible contributor) is a television documentary series; one episode focused on the North Fork. You’ll dive to the bottom of  Long Island Sound in search of lobster; stand in the middle of thousands of ducklings at Crescent Duck Farm and fly high overhead Long Island’s potato farms with a crop duster in this humorous, intimate and informative portrait of a handful of the finest behind-the-scenes workers that make it all happen.
