Bouké Unveils New Wines, Boutique

Fish corkscrews are available at bouke.com

Lisa Donneson, who has been producing Bouké wines at Premium Wine Group in Mattituck since 2007, has expanded her brand of blended wines to include single varietal bottlings as well as two types of rosé, one dry and one off dry, a red and a white dessert wine and a lightly sparkling white wine called Perlant.

Since her start, Donneson has focused on a Bouké Red, a Bouké White and a Bouké Rosé, all blends. (We covered her story in the Low Summer Issue of 2009.) A gradual expansion added the sparkling and the dessert wines, but now with her release of the 2010 Bouquet Cabernet Franc, the overall brand name has changed to Bouquet, which leads us to believe that different wines are in the pipeline. (The cab franc is deliciously ripe and rich showing how the excellent 2010 growing season is leading to a lot of great red wines in new releases.)

And in her new online boutique, Donneson is selling cool wine accessories.
