Vote for Your 2012 Local Heroes on the East End and Beyond

As the New Year approaches, with its cavalcade of “best of” and “top ten” lists, we invite our readers to vote in a very Edible way–for your favorite farmers, brewers, bartenders and food systems innovators as part of Edible Communities Sixth Annual Local Hero Awards. Voting is already underway and ends next Friday, December 16, so vote now and share the link with your friends (on Facebook and otherwise). Click here to vote for the East End contenders, and go to this link to vote in any other Edible community.  The categories include: Chef/Restaurant, Food Shop, Farm/Farmer, Food/Beverage Artisan, and Non-profit Organization. (For inspiration, we’ve included a list of last year’s winners below.)

This year’s winners will be announced in March 2012 at the Edible Communities annual publisher’s dinner in Santa Barbara, CA and also in each of our local communities in the spring 2012 issues.
